SANTIAGO BRUNI
My name is Santiago Bruni, and I’m an Art Director and poster illustrator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I studied Advertising at Miami Ad School, where I was nominated for awards like D&AD New Blood and won the Top Dogs Awards. I’ve worked with brands like MUBI, Fernet 1882, AMC, Netflix, and E!, and I’m currently an artist at Hero Complex Gallery. As a huge pop culture fan, I bring passion and storytelling into every project I create.
Watchmen.
Ever since last year I find myself often thinking about Watchmen. Back then I rewatched the HBO show and while I loved it the first time it came out, I loved it so much more now. Finally got around to watch Watchmen Chapter II a couple of days ago, and I loved it.
I absolutely adore the soundtrack. I actually looked up Tim Kelly and I was suprised to see he hasn’t really worked in a lot of things, but I think he’s fantastic in this film. I hope he gets more work.
As for the film, I really like both films together and, to me, it’s the best retelling of the story between this and the live action version. I think with animation you really get to show the colors of the comicbook that, to me, are iconic. One of my biggest criticize to the Zack Snyder’s film is that it lacks all the colorfulness the comic has. This animated film really adapt that well.
I wanted to make a new vinyl cover and I wanted to focus on Ozy as he’s a pretty big player that I feel often gets overlooked. But in the inside, the vinyl would come with 2 posters focused on The Comedian and Doctor Manhattan.
