SANTIAGO BRUNI
My name is Santiago Bruni, and I’m an Art Director and poster illustrator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I studied Advertising at Miami Ad School, where I was nominated for awards like D&AD New Blood and won the Top Dogs Awards. I’ve worked with brands like MUBI, Fernet 1882, AMC, Netflix, and E!, and I’m currently an artist at Hero Complex Gallery. As a huge pop culture fan, I bring passion and storytelling into every project I create.
Thunderbolts.

To promote the release of Thunderbolts, I developed an interactive experience that invited fans to become secret agents recruited by Marvel’s most unpredictable team. I really wanted to do something for this film as I loved everything Marvel is doing to promote it and the overall tone.

It all kicks off with a cryptic Instagram post revealing GPS coordinates in major cities around the world. Those who show up with AirDrop enabled receive an anonymous file containing their mission: investigate a series of mysterious disappearances — dark “shadows” on the ground left by The Void, the villain of the film.

Participants have to track these shadow marks across the city and report them via WhatsApp. Once the mission was completed, they receive a personalized thank-you video from one of the Thunderbolts… followed by an exclusive package at home with movie tickets and limited-edition merch.

I handled everything from the initial concept to the execution of the campaign’s visual identity — including the design of the board, key visuals, and the storytelling for the case study video.

This was all about building a world that felt secretive, reactive, and real — as if Marvel had left a back door open into the Thunderbolts' world.
