Lilo & Stitch is probably one of the five most influential movies of my childhood. I still remember being 6 years old and searching eBay for toys from the movie because they weren't available here (unfortunately, I didn't buy any).

Music is vital to the story of Lilo & Stitch, from Elvis to the excellent Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride that so marked the childhoods of many. That's why I wanted to do something special. Remembering the scene where Stitch plays Elvis's vinyl records, I came up with the idea of making a vinyl record that's broken. Bitten and scratched by Stitch.

But this made me wonder how I could make a broken vinyl record that would work. After doing a little research, I found the single Paramore released for Hard Times, where they did something similar by mixing different sizes of vinyl records, and I decided to make a single disguised as a 12-inch record.

The single would come with the new version of Hawaiian Rollercoster Ride sung by Iam Tongi and the Kamehameha Schools Boys' Choir.

Even though Stitch never ceased to be relevant, I've really enjoyed all the creative proposals I've seen in different media and formats over the past two weeks that center him. Great character.
