SANTIAGO BRUNI

My name is Santiago Bruni, and I’m an Art Director and poster illustrator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I studied Advertising at Miami Ad School, where I was nominated for awards like D&AD New Blood and won the Top Dogs Awards. I’ve worked with brands like Netflix, Shudder, AMC, MUBI and E!, and I’m currently a Visual Designer at Boogieman Media and artist at Hero Complex Gallery. As a huge pop culture fan, I bring passion and storytelling into every project I create.
I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve been obsessed with Daredevil for a year straight. I’ve liked him and the show forever but there’s something about Born Again that just hit me different. Might be the long time without the character and the idea that he was gone forever, I really don't know.
For the posters I tried to do a different approaches and styles for each one. For the first one, I had this idea that seemed very comicbook cover like, where Matt takes the Statue of Liberty’s place standing tall for New York. Illustrating the statue out of nowhere was a real challenge but I really like the end result.
For the second one, this time focused on the MVP himself, Ben Pointdexter. I always laugh with all the random objects he uses to ricochet, so I went back and saw all the objects he uses and decided to put them all together with the bible being my favorite. Funnily enough I actually thought of this more as a comicbook cover, but it works both ways.
For the third poster, I tried to go for a more commercial less alternative poster. Something that I could easily see Disney using for advertising. I still wanted to do something cooler or different than just the character standing front and center. Revolution was a big theme on season 2 so I liked the idea of Matt using his logo as a mark he leaves behind, igniting the fire for New York's revolution.
